WHO’S IT FOR?
Level 3 is ideal if you already have a hairdressing or barbering qualification and want to become a senior stylist.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?
There are three qualifications available at this level:
Level 3 NVQ/SVQ/VRQ Diploma in Hairdressing
Covers a range of skills and knowledge, such as creative cutting, styling, performing a range of chemical services, providing specialist hair and scalp treatments, as well as consulting with clients.

Level 3 NVQ/SVQ/VRQ Diploma in Barbering
Covers shaving, cutting facial hair, creating patterns in hair, as well as cutting and styling men’s hair and consulting with clients.

Level 3 NVQ/SVQ/VRQ Diploma in Hairdressing (Combined Hair Types)
Covers hairdressing consultation services for Afro hair types, relaxing services, hair colouring techniques, creative cutting, styling and dressing techniques and promote additional services or products to clients.

WHAT’S NEXT?
Level 3 learners may progress to employment as a senior stylist or barber, or the Level 4 Diploma in Management & Advanced Techniques in the Hair & Beauty Industry.
