ghd STYLE SQUAD
A year-long experience of ghd life for new stylists
First
launched in 2012, the ghd Style Squad programme is a year-long experience of
ghd life for stylists who are new to the industry and are looking to grow their
career. It’s an exciting mix of training sessions, live events and networking
opportunities, plus a series of bespoke creative projects set by some of the
biggest names in the industry, including Style Squad mentor Zoë Irwin.
Previous creative projects have been inspired by the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and the renowned photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, with each stylist receiving an editorial brief to create their own moodboard, craft their own final look and present live on a model at the end-of-year graduation show. It’s an incredible learning opportunity, mixing practical styling skills across the ghd portfolio with confidence-building presentation skills and a real insight into responding to editorial briefs.
As the newest members of the ghd family, the Style Squad are our ‘ones to watch’ – members of our current ghd education team and Brand Warrior team started their life in the Style Squad so it’s a great way to gain exposure and unlock future opportunities!
