Eat, sleep, breathe fashion? Opportunity incoming...

Since 2001, L’Oréal Professionnel has forged ongoing partnerships with Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design and has collaborated with the Graduate Fashion Week Foundation since 2007. Designers who graduated from CSM include Christopher Kane, Mary Katrantzou , Mark Fast, David Koma, Simone Rocha, Jackie Lee, Rejina Pyo, Phoebe English, Matty Bovan, Richard Quinn, Molly Goddard, Grace Wales-Bonner, Goom Heo, Paolina Russo and Fredrik Tjaerandsen. Due to the overwhelming success of the project with Central Saint Martins College, this unique relationship is now celebrating 20 years.

L’Oréal Professionnel is delighted to help develop the creativity of young talent from the hairdressing industry by working alongside emerging fashion designers with partnerships such as On Off  Presents at London Fashion Week.

Alongside providing a professional hair team at the BA & MA Shows, to further strengthen L’Oréal Professionnel’s commitment to Central Saint Martins’ future designers, it created the L’Oréal Professionnel Bursaries, which are awarded to three MA Fashion Students a year so they may complete their studies. It also provides the L’Oréal Professionnel Young Talent & Creative Awards (presented at the BA & MA Graduate Shows).

These ongoing partnerships merge the very latest in fashion talent with the creativity of young hairdressers and the aim is to provide opportunities to develop their overall design aesthetic and upskill how they work with hair.

The hairdressers can bring this awareness of the latest fashion trends back to the salon to form a vital part of the consultation with their clients, to build client confidence and increase the ongoing return business for the salon.
