APPRENTICESHIPS - HAIRDRESSING   PROFESSIONAL (LEVEL 2)

 PART TWO - BARBERING SKILLS

If you choose the Barbering route for part two of your apprenticeship, you will focus solely on men’s hair

Skills covered in Part Two include shampooing, conditioning and treating the hair and scalp; cutting hair using barbering techniques such as clipper over comb, razor cutting, skin fades and freehand; using styling tools and equipment to blow-dry and finger-dry; shaving services, including full and partial shaves, hot towels and face massage; and cutting facial hair into shape – ie, designing and creating full and partial beards and moustaches.

At the end of the Level 2 course, all apprentices must complete an independently verified end-point assessment (EPA).
